Alright this is all you need to know: it's a Japanese AYCE restaurant that's not Japanese.
We came here for lunch and did the AYCE menu. For $25ish, its a steal of a deal just based on the cost basis of California style sushi at any other restaurant.
And that my friends, is all we came here for. If you have read any of my other Japanese restaurant reviews, you know that this is not my cup of tea so please don't unfollow me; the lady wanted to eat Cali style sushi so what the lady wants, the lady gets.
Here is the fat skinny on this place: if you stick to just the sushi rolls, you will be satisfied. Lets do the math: the average price for a Cali style roll at any given sushi joint will run you about $10 so assuming you eat at least 2 rolls, then you will eat your money's worth.
The rolls were decent but nothing spectacular. As mentioned previously I prefer the purist motherland style sushi.
Notable misses for this place:
1. They charge extra for sashimi
2. Most of the cooked food is not very good. The steak did not taste good and the sizzling platter was loaded with onions as fluff.
The gf was happy she got her Japanese lasagna and spider rolls so all in all an -ok dining experience I guess...
