I see this place whenever I'm at my Green Valley house, and "hand wash" places are cool, so I decided to stop in when I saw only 3 cars inline and 1 in the tunnel (usually like 10+ cars in line on the weekend)
Drive up, tell the guy I want the silver package, I go inside to pay, tell them I'd like the Sunday ladies special - 25% off Silver package (Promo.. http://greenvalleyhandcarwash.com/coupons---weekly-specials.html) They ask if I had the coupon, I said, no, but I'm a lady, I swear. They hemmed and hawed and said ok. :-/ I paid the $9, catch some football, read the paper and go out side after about 20 min, expecting to see my car in line to be dried.
I don't see it, I do see 10-12 emp's doing the drying on 4 cars -a few emp came/went while I was watching, not sure if they were on/off break, or just lost.
Wheres my car? In the same spot I left it, 20+ min ago. I walk over to the tunnel to see if maybe something was wrong, the guy says nah, I said, ok, just asking because its been almost 25 min and no movement? He said, I quote "Yea, it takes time".
I walk in and ask the ladies if they spotted a problem in the (4 min) tunnel wash and they say, nah, they haven't told us anything, looks normal, ...and I quote, "yea, it does take time". :-|
My car comes out about 15 min later and a young kid approaches it to dry it. Progress, ok. I loose myself in some work on my laptop and look up roughly another 30 min only to see this kid doing the funniest saddest thing I've ever seen at a car wash. He would lean on the car with his bare hand (not on a rag, like the pros) and wipe with the other. He would then see his OWN hand print on the car and start to wipe it off -while again, leaning on the car with his other bare hand. He REPEATED this over and over. I glanced up a few more times, worked a bit more and realized another 30 had gone by, I approached the car and saw 2 guys drying it and said, hey the outside looks great, if the inside is done, Im good to go - thanks. He said, yup and reached for the handle, which I thought would insight another wipe/re-wipe cycle so I said, NO, I got it.
I get in to find he (or the other guys) didn't touch the interior, not my windows, not in/around my cup holders, nothing. he took an hour to WIPE the ext down..,sure he may have down it 200 times, but still...what about the other dry guys - the 2 customers outside with me had been there just as long and pretty much the same deal, interior was not cleaned...outside was sparkling!
I sent an email to the business sharing my exp and hopefully they hire/train/keep guys that can wipe down a car in less than 60 minutes.
