Terrible experience. We wanted to fly from Las Vegas to Fresno to avoid a long drive and Allegiant were the only choice
We had to pay extra for check in baggage but this is normal for most US carriers. The problems began as we taxied out to the runway. The pilot announced there was a fault with the plane and we had to return to the terminal building
As usual, it's not the original problem, which causes the ire. It's how you deal with it and the lack of communication
We were allocated another aircraft surprisingly quickly and hopes soared when we were boarded almost immediately. However, we then sat on the tarmac for over 2 hours. The aircrew and ground staff hung out at the front of the aircraft and socialised. No info was given. When questioned, they said they were waiting for paperwork but from the perspective of passengers with no information, we wanted to know why no one appeared to be chasing the said paperwork
Flight was ok. On landing at Fresno, luggage took 30 minutes to come out though there was no other flight in at the same time
We missed a jet skiing session that I had booked for us to try as a result of this delay. Epic fail
