The problem with many courses in Vegas is that when they were built when water and money were flowing through the valley. Now that these both have been slowed to a trickle we are left with courses that have lots of potential, but without enough water and upkeep they suffer from being too fast/worn down and just not fun. I am a pretty good player, but the landing areas on all three nines are too small and unless you are hitting the ball really straight, you will struggle. Good tee shots can find goofy, hidden desert outcroppings and you can be stuck in the brush. If the fairways and greens were lush, this wouldn't be an issue.
