  • We do business with Pei Wei from time to time, most times opting for either a take-out dinner, or dining inside for lunch. Yesterday was our turn for the take-out dinner.... In terms of the overall food quality, I've found the individual dishes have greater consistency when you order and dine inside the restaurant, and they have greater inconsistency when you order take-out. Still, there are times when I don't want to dine-in at Pei Wei, so this is when I turn to my 'Plan B' approach for placing the take-out order. Normally I prefer the Kung Pao Chicken when it's prepared correctly, but I also find it's one of the most inconsistent dishes on the menu in terms of preparation. For this reason, I mostly order the Thai Dynamite in its place. I don't like the Thai Dynamite as well, but I know from experience the preparation of this dish is more consistent over time, which is preferred. For a fast food chain, the dining area is pretty well maintained throughout the day, the restaurant is clean, and there's also a fairly nice aesthetic to the place. In any event, whether you dine in or carry out, you can't really complain too much when you consider the price point and overall food quality even with the consistency issues. Solid 3 stars.
