  • Good customer service is invaluable these days. Great customer service, even more so. Trust me, you will get neither from Dana @ Budget Bridal. From the time we requested to remove my wedding dress from consignment, she was rude, unprofessional and downright nasty. She has no storefront, no employees and no clue about how to treat customers so that you get not only return business but word of mouth business as well. That's probably the reason she doesn't have a storefront anymore, but I digress. When I contacted her on the phone, she insisted that we follow proper "protocol" and send an email from which "that department" would get back to me. Ok. She then called me back immediately to tell me that my husband would have to send the email because he's the one that put the dress on consignment. I'm thinking, ok, you wouldn't know the difference between who sends the message from our joint email account, but ok. The email gets sent, we get no response. We happened to be in the area a couple days later and called her on the car speakerphone to see if we could pick up the dress. She repeated the same mantra about the "protocol". He informed her that we sent the email with a copy of the contract and never got a response. She said we'd have to wait for an appointment. He insisted since we were in the area it wouldn't take long to get it, especially since we'd already sent the requested email letting her know we wanted to pick it up. She then nastily informed us that she was with a customer and would need to wait on "that department" to respond with an appointment time. This is how you talk to old customers in FRONT of new customers? She then hung up on us. SHE HUNG UP. I wonder how that looked in front of her imaginary customer? A couple days later, as my husband is driving home from work, Dana calls him and informs him that she no longer wants to do business with us and that because *we* were rude and unprofessional to her, we needed to come pick up the dress TODAY. Mind you, he's in the middle of rush hour traffic fighting his way home and she tells him he needs to get the dress TODAY. And of course I, his wife, couldn't go pick up the dress because he's the one that signed the contract and Dana just wasn't going to release the dress to me, after demanding we get it immediately. She then said she would hold onto it for another week. His question was, and what happens after a week? Is she threatening to get rid of my dress? That was going to take this to a whole new level. Finally when he gets there to pick up the dress, he tried to talk to her about her rudeness, unprofessional attitude and downright hostility. Her response was,"Well you have your opinion and I have mine." No one that wants to stay in business runs their business this way. I wish I'd done my research thoroughly before hand and read other's reviews of her that tell similar stories as to her nasty attitude. Please even read her responses to some of those reviews, and even the one review she posted herself FOR her business under the name "Budget B" from July 2103 under "not recommended reviews" so that you can see her delusion for yourself. Lastly, check the BBB rating, for which she has an F. Please save yourself some frustration, wasted time and unpleasantness.
