And it was a very late night when I realized that if I did not eat something, I would not be able to truly enjoy a glass of wine. A friend of mine said... I know a place... And you know that when you hear that it is a warning to be politically correct and not hurt the feelings of the person making what inevitably turns out to be a poor choice for your needs.
But I followed and found myself in a place surrounded by cowboys of all kinds. Normally this would have excited me a lot, but none were for me at all...mostly they were for my friend. I endured the unfairness of the situation long enough to make it through to the back of the place where there was a "set-up" out of a back window where food was being prepared on grills outside.
I turned my nose up and skinned my teeth and hummed along to the country music until I began to see the products being rendered one by one out of the window. WHAT?!
I gave in....I ordered a Steak quesadilla . I have to say that it was hot , fast, fresh, fragrant, fattened, and filling.
Not sure that it was my hunger giving the initial rating, I returned to the venue on a not so starving circumstance night...and was again impressed. Plus there was some two- stepping going on!
Moral of the story: Don't judge food prepared in unconventional manners before you have the chance to try them twice with a smile on your lips!
