A museum-like setting for a smaller, poorly laid out luxury department store. Unfortunately, many of the salespeople come across as snobby, and I am almost always ignored. The store is also almost always absolutely devoid of traffic, so much so that I don't see how it's still open. I credit their ability to hold on to some local big name exclusives like Celine (and probably massive rent concessions).
Unfortunately they've lost many of the luxury brands they opened with, such as men's Dior and Prada. The restaurant closing and never being replaced is also a waste. They've improved the layout a little by removing one of the giant jewelry bay cases and replacing it with front-and-center Celine leather goods, by somewhat consolidating the apothecary from being sprawled over two floors, and moving women's Co-Op accessories into the never-shopped home goods area, but I still find it very awkward. Why in the world they would hide the women's shoe department is beyond me.
Two stars for continuing to carry some excellent brands (like the aforementioned Celine leather goods) and for having better hours than Neiman Marcus.
