  • I've been on a hiking kick lately and am trying to find different ones to try. Decided to try Piestewa Peak (or Squaw Peak depending on who you ask) but was going to meet up with a friend for lunch beforehand and we found Moto not too far away. I got there first, a little before 11 which is when they open. There were a couple people waiting but nothing outrageous. I walk in and get acknowledged right away by the bartender who lets me know that someone will be right up to seat me and sure enough, as he was finishing that statement the waitress came over and took me to a table. She also brought me water right away which always makes me happy. While I was waiting for my friend to show up I read over the menu and was super excited to find out that not only do they have All You Can Eat Sushi, but that it was happening RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT!! Apparently it's on Saturdays from 11-2:30 and there's 10 different rolls you can choose from for $18.99 (there are some nigiri options too but I don't remember how many there were to choose from for those). Once my friend showed up I quickly told him about the All You Can Eat special so then he perused the menu to see which ones he wanted. Our waitress kind of went MIA at this point so that was a little annoying but she seemed to be the only server there so I can't fault her for that but seriously you would think that the management there would keep the place a little bit better staffed on a weekend day during an all you can eat special. Once our waitress came by for our order my friend got the Tootsi Roll, the Vegas Roll and the Alaska Roll. I decided that I probably didn't want to binge on sushi right before a hike so I stuck with a single Rainbow Roll. They took a little bit of time to come out but then again sushi typically does and I'm sure everyone who was in the restaurant was ordering tons of different rolls. I was happy with the size, the rolls were larger than most places but not so huge that you had a hard time eating a piece. My Rainbow Roll was delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and beautiful. I'll admit I did share one piece of my friend's Vegas Roll (sharing is against the rules according to the menu...oops!) and it was pretty good. Not the best Vegas Roll I've had but still good. I'll definitely be coming back here again on another Saturday when I don't plan on hiking so that I can actually partake in the All You Can Eat!
