  • I went to apply for my first AZ drivers license, being from out of state. Much better DMV experience than I've ever experienced in LA and Hawaii (think Zootopia)! Although arriving when they first opened, I would highly recommend waiting until 8 am. when the entire staff hits the ?floor. Before then, the wait time was significant with only two clerks active. Also, AZ rules and regulations are less paperwork intensive than my previous residence?s which made the transaction quicker. For me, It was worth saving the $25.00 convenience fee charged by those authorized third-party? locations by going directly to the DMV office.
