I was super excited to find that Miracle Mile (Monroeville) was getting it's own fro-yo joint.
We've been about a half dozen times and the positives are that it's very clean and bright and has great toppings overall. They did get rid of roasted almonds due to cost and they hide pecans behind the counter, so ask if you're missing the nuts.
However, The managers are overbearing and stare at you while you serve yourself. They are stingy with sample cups and insist on getting each tiny sample for you, which is awkward.
They also have a consistent problem with lack of variety in their flavor selection. One visit they featured cinnamon, apple pie, and snicker-doodle at the same time, none of which blend well with the chocolate and fruit based toppings they offer and they all simply tasted too similar. The next time I went, it was almost exclusively fruit flavors. In addition, they sometimes take a full month to add the promised "coming soon" flavors and the manager has told me that they have to go through the full amount of another flavor they've ordered in bulk before switching. (?)
The place doesn't feel overly family friendly since the staff seems wary of children and the large TV is often blaring music geared to an older crowd or even seedy day time shows.
Before visiting this place I would have said cleanliness and great toppings were at the top of my list for a great yogurt place, but we find ourselves making the short drive to Frogurt where it's not as clean and the toppings are lower quality but the staff is helpful and laid back and popular flavors are guaranteed to be on tap.
