  • I'm updating my review, due to my latest experience with this store. Last time, everything was easy, with only some minor snafus, but that confusion was compensated by a job well done. This time, there was a bit more frustration in the deed, so I took off one star. I wanted to bring in my smartphone to get the cracked screen replaced. I had made an appointment online, two days early, using their website, and got an email confirming my appointment was made. I then received a voicemail from the shop, reconfirming my appointment and them saying they'd put the part on hold for me for my appointment. Cool stuff. I get to the shop, person ahead of me is being helped by the only person at the counter, but I stand around and don't get greeted. This happened the first time I came in with my laptop as well, no one greets the waiting people or acknowledges them. Another lady walks in behind me, no greeting. Once the first customer in front of me was done, I finally got a hello from the person at the counter (Leo), who looked up my info and went to look for my new screen in the back. He came back to say it wasn't there and that he'd go check again. I asked the lady that came in after me if she was dropping off or picking up, she said picking up. Surely while he was helping me he could have gotten that info and gotten the shop tech to help sign off her pick up? Still... I heard him in the back for a while, obviously talking with the shop tech who was listening to music. Finally, he came back saying that the part was no longer available and that there were no more for me. I said alright, just put that note in my file and call me when the part is in. He offered 10% off the service for the confusion. Meh, guess that means I won't be able to ALSO use the yelp deal on my purchase. A day later, I get a call saying the part is in from Leo, so I call back to make a new appointment. Mark(?) answers and says that they don't make appointments, that they're only a walk in service. Huh, that's not what the website seems to imply by letting you make appointments, but okay... Then I say that the reason I am calling to make an appointment was to get the replacement screen put on hold for me so I don't come in for no repair. He informs me that they don't put stock/replacement screens on hold EVER, that it's a first come, first serve basis. HMM. Time to have a team meeting and get everyone on the same page. So your customers aren't like me and get confused by what is actual store policy! :P I go in a day later and low and behold, I see Marcin (the employee who helped me the first time, with my laptop, great work) helping at the counter along side Leo. Marcin gets me all set up (though once again, neither of them greet me when I walk in-- even while helping customers, it's kind of best practice to greet those who're walking in, just acknowledge them and let 'em know you'll be with them when you're done helping those clients in front of you.) Marcin gives me a time to pick up my phone, which is super reasonable, and less than an hour. I come back an hour later and all is good and ready, and looks great. Leo did a great job repairing the phone and rang me up efficiently. Total came out to be $123.04 with tax for the smart phone screen replacement.
