We were in Vegas with a group of family. It was late (not Vegas late) and were looking for a good meal. Since we were already staying at the Venetian, Tao seemed to fit the bill.
The atmosphere here is great and really positioned well for the night club business. We were told the wait for a large table would be about 20 minutes - no big deal. We found a place to sit and got a round of drinks. I had an old fashioned which was good, but not great. I would have expected a large ice block not small cubes.
In less than 20 minutes, our table was ready and off we went. Since we had a group of us, we ordered food "family style". So we shared a few appetizers and then shared main dishes. Overall, the food was good. Portion sizes were good as well. Lots of choices and variety of dishes. Our waiter was great with his recommendations.
If you get there late enough for dinner but before the club opens, they will stamp your hand so that you can get into the club. At least that is what they did for us!
Now don't come to Tao for the prices. Prices aren't cheap but they are reasonable for the atmosphere and location.
