| - We found hip hop in the sea of EDM! After grabbing dinner and drinks, we made our way to Drai's, located in the Cromwell, a little after 11 PM on a Thursday night. There was actually no line at that time and, as we had gotten on the guest list, we got free entry! Upon entering the club, the first thing I noticed was the great layout. The dance floor is located in the center and is surrounded by a circle of VIP booths. The main walkway runs around this set of booths and is enclosed by another circle of VIP booths. Moving around the club, getting to the dance floor and getting to the bars (located to the left and right rear side of the club) was a breeze!
The drinks were extremely pricey (about $17 each) but I guess that's Vegas. That said, while I'm accustomed to pricey drinks, living in SF, at least those are usually craft cocktails; not a rum and coke. Attempts at ordering anything fancier than that didn't result in any happy outcomes.
Drinks aside, this was indeed one of the better club experiences that I've had while in Vegas. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were no major complaints to be made about any of my fellow clubgoers. The view of Caesar's Palace outside was spectacular. And, most importantly, there was an amazing lineup of DJs playing great hip hop all night long!
