  • I actually really liked living here and am planning to move back next year. As a runner, having such convenient access to Papago Park was one of the best things ever. It's my favorite place to run and I'm still there all the time. If you're into mountain biking or just walking you'll love it as well. Great for dogs too, when it's cool outside! The complex is gated with the gates being open certain hours of the day. When I first moved in, the gate was broken for a few months but it's been fixed since then. Regardless, I always felt safe living here. There may be some seedy areas south of the complex but the complex itself is certainly not seedy. I met a lot of really cool people here and still hang out a few times a week. Why did I ever move out?! I'd suggest that, if you enjoy your silence or have a family, you not move in by the main pool or the lap pool (two of six pools here). Those are the party pools, lol. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty fun spot but music and loudness in general is not something I want to hear when I'm not in the mood, so just a fair warning if you feel the same way. The other four pools are always quiet, clean and chill. I lived in the two story loft apartment, and while the layout was really cool, the power bill during the summer was pretty monstrous due to all the wasted space, so just a warning there too. My roommate and I paid more in the loft during the summer than I paid living in a three bedroom house. Not cool and won't go with that layout again. I really only have two negative things to say about this place and one of them is a pretty easy fix. First, the assigned parking spots are very small and have poles that get in the way, which is a pain in the ass for getting groceries out of your car or if you drive a large vehicle. Second, this complex really needs to implement recycling bins...especially down at the main pool for all the beer cans, lol. I save them and have them recycled when I can, but it doesn't always happen when caught up in the moment. So take a hint, RMV!
