  • It pains me to even give this place one star. I have never had such a horrible customer service experience. I don't review many businesses on Yelp! but find reading reviews very helpful and wish I would have looked up this business before purchasing a Living Social deal for them. I also bought the $20 Shellac mani deal. I tried for a month prior to the deal expiring to get an appointment. No one ever answered the phone. I was beginning to wonder if they were still in business. I left a voicemail which was not returned and also sent an email requesting an appointment which received no response. Finally, four days before my deal expired someone answered the phone. I let her know I wanted to make an appointment and had purchased the deal and was rudely told that, 'We gave people six months to get the deal. Everyone waited until the last minute to make their appointments and they were all booked up," and "It wasn't her fault." I was extremely taken aback by her tone and response. At this point I was tempted to just say forget it, and try to get my money back from LivingSocial. I was also making the appointment for a friend who had purchased the deal and we wanted to go together so I needed two appointments. As a last ditch effort, I asked if there was any way she could extend the deal a week if she had any appointments. After expressing her inconvenience through audible sighs, she said " I have two next Thursday at 6pm." Woah, great! I'll take it I said. She was sure to let me know that she was doing me a 'huge favor' by extending the deal. This left a bad taste in my mouth and I had a feeling something would go wrong the day of our appointments. We showed up about ten minutes early and were told that one appointment was at 5:30 and one was at 6:15. First of all, I never would have taken a 5:30 appointment because I could never get there in time. Second of all, I was told both appointments were at 6pm. I told her this and she said, "Well I dunno what happened, I didn't know if you were gonna show up. I only have 2 nail techs here and it's my birthday, I can stay late if you guys want to wait but I have to help this other person first." I was again taken aback by this response. Not a typical customer service response, especially from the owner! My friend and I decided not to wait. When we told her this, she seemed relieved and said, 'yeah I don't know what happened, you can reschedule.' Um, no thanks. We were clearly not happy, and she didn't seem to care in the slightest. Given the popularity of the shellac manicure, and the many deals offered at salons all over the Valley that may actually want my business, I wouldn't go back to V-Spot if the mani was free.
