Not sure what is going on but there seems to be a paradigm shift with regards to Chinese bakeries. Ultra cheap, dingy and same old same old has been replaced by more modern, contemporary and innovative bakeries to the area such as Panash and Bake Code. Soho is the newest entry to this trend.
The place is new, clean and modern with a glass partition separating the store from the kitchen so you can peak inside.
Only got to try their apple cinnamon bun but it was light and tasty....kinda like an apple pie in a Chinese bun form;)
Buns and cakes are more expensive but the quality is there and the service friendly and polite. The owner was working and obviously very proud of the place and asked how everything was.
The HK milk tea was done really well as it was smooth and enjoyable.
Enjoyed coming and would definitely come back to try all the other items in the store. Great addition to the area!
