I've enjoyed Sauceman's. I've visited 3 times and enjoyed myself each time. It's not spectactular, but it has great potential to be a neighborhood favorite. The ribs are very respectable. The two times I've tried them, they were nearly fall off the bone style, though my friend's ribs seemed a little less so. The sauce had good flavor, but I definitely felt like a little more was needed. The steak sandwich is pretty tender for a thin cut, but I would definitely NOT order it more than medium. The relish only on it gives it a pretty unique flavor that's simple, but pleasant. The onion rings and fries are better than average. Both come freshly fried and stayed crispy even 15 minutes later - but not like Burger King fake crispy. My favorite so far has to be the Reuben. It's very light for a Ruben, but with great flavor. I ate mine cold since a friend delivered it to me, but I can't wait to try it hot! The sugar biscuits are fantastic. As another reviewer wrote, I could eat a dozen easily! Another huge plus is local beer on tap. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is on tap and is the freshest beer you'll get in Charlotte! Overall very good food and will try it again~!
