I can already tell that this place is going to become my new restaurant obsession. After walking by this place for the last few months while it was under construction, I finally made it into Kid Cashew. The decor is totally rustic. Love. The food was also rustic and delicious. Love. The staff was so friendly and provided great recommendations. Love.
I'm totally digging the menu. Simple, yet inventive. I started out with the Goat's Breast Milk Cocktail. It was so fresh and well balanced. Their cocktails are named after the fresh herbs they put in their drinks, so you definitely know what you're getting! I had an assortment of food. Chicken is a MUST GET. It's a simple preparation with a great seasoning on the skin, and every bit is juicy. The trout was light and not too fishy. Brussels were good but the winner was by far the Mac & five Cheese Gratin. I could seriously see myself having a late night binge with a large pot of that Mac & Cheese, and waking up on the couch the next day with a stomach ache from eating too much. Yum.
This place has a lot of tables that accommodate larger parties. If my bday dinner wasn't already planned, I would make a reservation here. Fun atmosphere. Simple, shareable, delicious food. Mac & Cheese Gratin to die for.
Thank you, Kid Cashew for opening up down the street from me. My friends and I will see you often and look forward to putting your kids through college.
