  • John and all his workmen have been very pleasant and professional to work with and the system itself is very good in terms of heating my pool water. Unfortunately the darned system is annoyingly *&^% leaky! In less than four years, we've called Celestial at least half a dozen times to fix leaks. Although they respond promptly, leaks just keep on occurring. First it was the joints; that finally seems to be fixed. Then, there was a panel that crossed a roof valley and was tied down in the center. The tiedown was effective and I understood that they'd have to block off a couple of tubes to do that, but they blocked the wrong tubes and the tiedown kept stretching the tubes and making them leak. After about four tries, they finally seem to have that fixed. Now I'm on the second repair call for the tubes themselves. Last time I personally observed a pinhole leak in the plastic tube of one panel; today they just repaired a similar leak in a different panel; and the workman just informed me that if it leaks like that again, they'll have to replace three panels. So, I have no complaint about the company or the service, but the panels are very disappointing. FOLLOWUP: After my last review, the panels leaked again and thus the three panels mentioned were replaced -- again, no complaint about the service end of it. Unfortunately, today I was cleaning my pool when I noticed that there's ANOTHER leak. The owner's previous response (which I just saw) is really off the wall. Really, you're going to blame me for your leaky panels??? As for the tiedown in the valley, your first workman cut the panel in the wrong place and caused the leak - as proven by the repair by the second workman who cut the panel in the right place. That part has never leaked again. He even accuses me of using a razor blade on my own panels. WTF??? Does he actually think I sabotaged my own panels because I enjoy having to constantly call for repairs? In actuality his own man replaced the three panels (probably after the owner's response), so by now he knows very well that the leak was at the joint where the little tubes join the big pipe. Razors had nothing to do with it. And did the owner call me to discuss these accusations first? Noooooo ... I will repeat what I said initially: "John and all his workmen have been very pleasant and professional to work with and the system itself is very good in terms of heating my pool water." That's a compliment, John. It didn't warrant your response. My problem is probably just a bunch of bad panels. I get that, sometimes things go wrong in manufacturing. Deal with it and stop trying to blame the hapless homeowner.
