This is a nice yoga studio, but I have experienced better. I come here simply out of convenience as I don't like traveling far to do physical activity.
I haven't been to any other studios in Toronto, but have been to various ones in New York and Winnipeg(including another Moksha) and find their monthly pass comparatively a little pricey to commit. One plus is their $5 drop-in classes on Friday and Saturday, but I'm usually busy or forget...
The overall space is kind of small, especially the change room. The hot yoga studio fills up fast in the evening so come early to get a spot. Instructors are hit and miss, perhaps a little cooler than other studios I have been to. I prefer instructors who really focus on the breathing and in-depth explanations of how the poses should be implemented rather than speeding along with a "get me out of this hot room and same routine!" tone. I know that hot yoga is typically fast-paced and a little monotonous but it can still be instructed precisely and with interest. There was a Hatha instructor there a year ago who was amazing but I'm not sure if she is still around.
Moksha Uptown is a decent, well maintained studio but I wouldn't travel far to go here.
