| - Landmark Diner is a truly exceptional establishment! Having lived in New York for several years I am a total diner addict, and when I walk into Landmark I am transported back to New York. Landmark prepares food comparable to the great diners I frequented back then, with a super affordable price point--less expensive than other Charlotte diners!
For me, diners always mean breakfast, whether its morning, afternoon, or night! Landmark offers all of the traditional breakfast fare, i.e. various egg preparations, pancakes, home fries, steak and eggs, but then expands the menu with more creative options. On my first visit our server recommended challah french toast, a thick cut slab of challah bread, coated in a seasoned egg mixture and cooked to perfection on the stovetop. The dish was fabulous; the bread was golden and crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth gooey goodness inside. My partner ordered pork chops and eggs, which were perfectly cooked, succulent and flavorful.
Landmark Diner was featured on Guy Fieri's TV series, "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives," and it is very clear why the producers selected this spot. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, and the prices are surprisingly affordable. Landmark Diner absolutely made its mark on me, as I have a new Queen City favorite!
