rev:text	I can only rate them for their pierogies but will be going back to try some of their cheeses. For my first trip to the West Side Market in a few years, I had checked it out online before going to see what stores were still there. I had a couple of specific places I wanted to check out including Oh Fudge and Pierogi Palace. After getting my pierogis I headed to the fudge shop. While waiting I noticed Irene Dever next door also had pierogis. I decided to do my own taste test, and boy am I glad I did. When I lived in Parma years ago, Parma Pierogies opened and that was my first intro to pierogies with fillings other than potatoes and cheese, which I don't care for. When I moved back to the area and learned the place had closed, I was terribly disappointed. So, my reason for trying Pierogi Palace and Irene Dever's pierogies. There was no contest as far as I was concerned. The Palace's pierogis are really doughy, especially the crimped edge. The fillings were okay but even though they have a huge list of fillings, only a select few are available at the store. One of my choices wasn't available but then they said they had some in the freezer. I don't think the freezing affected them. Irene Dever had a very small selection but, hey, it's a cheese store! But they had the two flavors I like, cheese and cheese/spinach. They were really good! I've gone back to the Market a couple of times and have avoided the Pierogie Palace. Irene Dever's are the better choice, even if they don't have frou frou varieties. Sometimes all you want is the basic real deal. That's what you get here!
