I'm kind of between 2 and 3 stars here. I guess I'll go ahead and bump them up the 3 stars because the girls working here were both really pleasant and helpful. What can I say? I'm a generous person.
So first of all, it is so freaking cold in this place. I mean, it was 105 outside and my friend and I still found it more comfortable out there than inside. Not good...especially when you're eating something chilly. Second of all, I just really don't like gelato that much. It's clearly not nearly as good as ice cream and I honestly would rather have frozen yogurt. BUT, it's obviously not their fault that I don't love gelato. So I won't count that against them. There are plenty of flavor options here and I thought it was kind of cool that their fruit gelatos (??? what's the plural of gelato anyway???) are made almost entirely of fruit and water. That being said, if I want something that tastes exactly like pineapple, I guess I'd rather just eat pineapple itself than go out and get some pineapple gelato. Just sayin...
My major issue with this place is the price. More than four dollars for a tiny little scoop of gelato? You must be kidding. That seems ridiculous. Maybe gelato is really expensive to make or something, but it seems a bit extreme. Especially when I just paid like five dollars for my delicious happy hour meal next door at Pita Jungle.
Hmm...I really feel like saying this place is kind of lame, but then again, I just don't like gelato that much.
