....Must Go to for Gamers......
We went to Abari for the first time this past Sunday with 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 7, 11 and 14). Abari is open for kids from noon to 5 on the weekends and my little gamers could not wait to check it out. There was a large selection of pinball machines and old school video games. We are talking Donkey Kong, NBA Jam, The Simpsons, Joust...the list goes on. The majority of games were in good working order and a refund was given cheerfully for any disappearing quarters. There is a large bar in the corner of the warehouse with a cool three panel collage that is a fun way to test your video game knowledge.
The kids thought it was cool to grab a soda from the bar ($2) and the adults of course loved the beer ($1.50 drafts). There are portable drinks caddies located all over the bar. I did not notice any food for sale or visit the restrooms since our visit was cut short when we had to leave early unexpectedly.
Overall, it was a fun and affordable family experience. The staff was very friendly and the game selection was great. It was a little dark in the bar and the crowd was not as clean cut as what my Southpark kids are used to but it was all part of the experience. There was a sign that advertised T-shirts for sale but I didn't see any on display. My kids are already asking to go back and next time we will bring more friends!
