Very quaint place. Wait staff was very knowledgable. One of the servers explained everything on the menu as this was our first time at sweet note. She gave us a heads up about how long each item would take to make, which was great!
Like other reviewers said, you definitely need to wait for your dessert so only go if you have minimum of 1 hour to spare.
We ordered:
Strawberry meringue: we liked this the best. The meringue was very fluffy and melted in my mouth. Not too sweet. Delicious! About $6
Chocolate lava cake: really liked this pairing with the sorbet. The cake was moist and hot. My second fave thing that we ordered. A little smaller than we thought because the picture on the menu looked bigger. About $8
Vanilla soufflé with mango dressing: the soufflé was light and fluffy. You can really taste the freshness. I found that this was a bit hyped up as our waiter told us it was the most popular item on the menu. I found it just okay. I recommend not pouring the mango or another liquid on it as it kills the taste and makes the soufflé soggy. Natural is way better. About $8
I also ordered a caracinno. This is a latte with miso paste (to make it salty), caramel (to make it sweet), and an expresso shot. It tasted salty and sweet, but not too sweet. Kind of like a salted caramel drink, but it tasted more salty than sweet. I liked it. Definitely a bit different from normal speciality coffees. It may be an acquired taste so try if you dare!
Food, I give a 3.5, but with the great service, sweet note gets a 4 outta me! I can also see lots of potential with this place!
Overall, I thought this place was good. Prices are on par with most dessert cafés. I would go back to try their other desserts!
