I hate to ruin your perfect score but today I had the worst experience at Hip Kids. My daughter was up sick all night so I looked up what time Hip Kids opened so I could call right away (not even expecting an appointment available but hoping if I called right away they could squeeze her into an empty spot). I called right at 8 and of course no answer. That's fine I get it. I called again at 815 and someone hung up on me. I called back around 820-830 and I got a hold of someone who was clearly irritated I called so early and who made me feel like my daughter was an inconvenience. Fine ok I have rough mornings too and work in customer service so I can see how her tone may have come off wrong....... we scheduled an appointment for 150 which we showed up to at 140 knowing we would have to wait. The front desk lady was nice as always so we sit down to wait. The nurse that called me back was very cold to my child and rushing her as she put her shoes back on (she's 4 and we are teaching her left from right so i was giving her a chance to put them on herself) after we got into the room she informed me she is who I talked to this morning and I said ok and started talking about my daughters symptoms she replied "yeah yeah" without once looking up from my daughters chart. At this point I'm bothered but still being patient because we loved the doctor last time we were in. We waited for 40 minutes for the doctor. After she came in she explained she was behind which is fine I understand I'm not going to be upset that you were taking extra time with your patient. What did irritate me is she was so behind our visit felt rushed. Our visit felt like I couldn't even explain my daughters symptoms and she basically said she wasnt sick enough and needed to come back in a couple days. My daughter has been sick since March 20th and I have waited a long time to take her in because I know how it goes. I know most of the time there isn't much they can do for a "cold". My daughter had a febrile seizure the night before because her fever was so high and her father has epilepsy so seeing my 4 year old mimic something I have seen her father go through daily was incredibly concerning to me and I never even had the chance to talk about it because she blew it off like it was nothing. She tested her for strep and then had the rude nurse from earlier come in and tell us in the most condescending way possible that we were free to go since her strep throat test came back negative with no explanation on what to do next. I will not be returning to Hip Kids. It really is a shame because my daughters father and I really liked it the first time we were there. I understand other kids may have been more sick but that doesn't mean my daughter should have been put out like that. We have had better service and doctors at Urgent Care then what my daughter received today. Shame on you Hip Kids.
