  • Wonder Pens is a cozy store that carries the most accessible stock of fountain pens that I've seen before. I was shocked to see that the majority of their pens are under $50, or even $30. They do carry a few elite products, but based on the chats that I had with the proprietor, it's clear that the philosophy is writing tools that are accessible to everyone, and not the most expensive gold nibbed pen you can find. I really loved that the proprietor's hands were stained with ink, showing that she not only sells the pens, but really uses and loves them. She was more than happy to open up any stock to allow me to try it out, which is critical for stationery stores Of course with low prices come a different quality of pens. I came out with an interesting pen to add to my collection, and while the functionality is unique, visually, it stands out like a sore thumb in my collection. If you think that pens are utilitarian tools, then you'll like it here. If you want a beautiful pen, maybe this is not the place for you.
