  • After living in a newer home in Ahwatukee for 10.5 years (with hardly any issues), we just moved into a lovely older home with mature vegetation. On our first night in the home, the base of the downstairs toilet starting leaking and flooded the bathroom floor. Turning off the water to the house did not help. I found Day & Night Plumbing through Yelp and called them around 12:30a.m. An on-call plumber (Jason Jossy) promptly called us back, and told us that it was probably a back-up in the sewer line. He instructed us on how to stop the overflow, and asked if we wanted him to stop by at that time, or first thing in the morning. He arrived on time the next morning (a Sunday no less), was very pleasant, and had our problem fixed within 45 minutes. The problem was caused by roots in the sewer line. Jason also gave us some ideas on how to manage future issues from the roots, and what to look for in the house/plumbing that would give us an idea that the roots were back in the sewer line.
