| - I really like the aesthetics of the building. Mind you, not the actual Chatime dining area because you probably won't have time to sit after getting your drink, but the rest of the building in which the queue invariably extends. In particular, the mural of artists gives a very urban vibe to the place, which is very in-theme with the rest of the building filled with art akin to what you would find at an OCAD grad party. It elicits a great feeling of profundity, as I'm sure is the intent of the artist, and really leaves you mulling over deep and meaningful thoughts. For maximum effect, I would recommend putting on some Arcade Fire or Portugal. The Man on your Spotify while queuing up. It's quite an experience. Who needs the AGO when you can admire equally profound works of art waiting in line at Chatime.
Be warned, however. If you are an introvert, this is NOT the place for you. Locations like these are filled with the youthful, insightful, brilliant, profound, deep, and multi-layered complex individuals that are the up-and-coming budding extraverts of Markham. And make no mistake, they will try to extravert on you. There is no escaping their vociferous bubbles of conversation--so resounding and intense that you cannot help but be forced to take part in their very meaningful topics of conversations, I'm sure.
Highly recommended! 2/5 selfies
