Every time we go to Hubbard I really want it to be good but it's just OK at best. The atmosphere is suppose to be American diner-ish. We like to sit at the counter if we come for breakfast to avoid a wait. The pie is good but expensive. Service is OK, better at the counter then seated. The scrambled eggs are always a little overcooked and a pretty small portion. Same with the bacon overly cooked, slightly burnt, really small puny, pieces. I do like that they serve classic hash browns. And the pancakes are good. But overall breakfast is not as good as it should be for them pushing the "classic diner" theme. I think I've been once for lunch or dinner but not memorable and I remember our son's burger was way overcooked. Prices are comparable to other places or slightly more expensive, maybe because of the area they are in.
Its a nice place if you live in the neighborhood but we head to the Original pancake house or Monty's for stellar breakfast food for the similar prices, larger quantities and better quality.
