| - I cut my finger quite deep, and having never experienced any sort of accident, I rushed to this walk-in clinic with my hand dripping blood into paper towels, and asked if they could just tell me if I needed to go to a hospital.
The receptionist understood my urgency and confusion, and sat me down, and a nurse came out to take a look not even 2 minutes later. She ushered me in immediately to get it cleaned up, and had the doctor come in within 15 minutes to make the call. I needed sutures (stitches), and I needed a freezing needle. The nurse then went on to prep the needle and administer the shot, and all the while having a wonderful bedside manner. My first time seeing any sort of wound on myself that wasn't handled by a bandaid, so they did a great job pleasantly answering my nervous questions and general babbling (I babble and joke when I'm nervous, ugh)
The good doctor had me stitched up in no time, and off I went! He told me to come back in a week to get them removed.
Came back the week after, and since I work close by, I asked them for their wait time, and rather than waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours, they allowed me to call them in 1.5 hour to check my placement in the lineup, and return when the wait was only 15 minutes. The stitches weren't ready to be taken out yet, so they sent me away, but told me when I came back in 2-3 days, I can just tell the reception I needed suture removal, and they'd take me immediately.
Suture removal day came, and GOODNESS, that hurts without the freezing needle! The same doctor who put them in removed them, and he had a great bedside manner when it came to my childish whimpering.
Overall, this clinic was WONDERFUL. I can tell they have to deal with lots of difficult situations, being a walk-in, but they still maintained a professional and pleasant attitude. Grateful to have them nearby.
