  • My friend and I are currently attending a retreat at Spirit of the Desert near Carefree Resort. This place is currently in renovation, so the lobby is not in good condition. The location is great though , but the wi-fi is very slow. Gorgeous scenery and it's so close to nature. Just watch out for the little critters and snakes on the road when you're hiking. It's also a cheaper option that the Boulders Resort which is owned by Waldorf Astoria.
