I kept hearing how this place was so great and what not, so I decided to give it a try finally. As soon as you sit down they bring over chips and salsa to your table. The salsa was tasty the only thing is I wish they would give a bigger portion of it to have sufficient for all the chips. But then again maybe that's just me I just love chips and salsa. I ended up going with the fusion tacos, I ordered one pork belly, one calamari, and one one shrimp taco to taste a little bit of everything as this was my first time here. The shrimp tacos were okay, the pork belly tacos were good I would order them again, and the calamari tacos were my favorite of all! They were so good I wished I had ordered all three of them as calamari! They also provide four different sauces for the tacos a salsa roja, a salsa verde, a Korean sauce that has sriracha in it I believe, and this sweet/spicy sauce which was my choice for my tacos. The sweetness of the sauce definitely topped off the flavors in my calamari taco. I also didn't expect the tacos to be as big as they were, it was difficult to finish the third one as they are not only big they were also stuffed quite a bit with the cole slaw and pico. I'm not a fan of corn tortillas so I substituted mine with flour tortillas. Tacos just taste better with flour tortillas in my opinion. All in all I am now a Komex fan and will definitely be back to try bulgogi next!
