So we were staying at the Wynn and my mom had mentioned to me before I left for Vegas how good Red 8 was, so we decided to try it out. Thanks for nothing mom! jk
We waited about 20 minutes to get seated even though the restaurant has half empty. That was fine, I understand if they need to get the tables ready. We sat down and our server didn't come to us for probably about 10 minutes. Not the start of an enjoyable dinner...
Then we order our food, noodles, a chicken dish, a beef dish, and shu mai. I was hesitant to order the shu mai because it was around $10 and anyone that goes to dim sum knows shu mai doesn't need to cost $10. I understand that I was at a somewhat pricey place (after all, it is in the Wynn) but it better be damn good. Too bad the food wasn't. Nothing we ordered was good. At no time during our meal did our server come check back on us to see if we were enjoying the food, or to even refill our empty water glasses. After we finish our food, our server doesn't come around for like 10 minutes. We stacked up our dirty plates and everything for her ass and she still couldn't realize that we are done and want the bill.
With the amount of money we spent at this bootleg establishment, I expect the food to be at least good and the service to be great. Too bad it failed on both counts.
