  • Over the past two years, I have been a patient of Foothills Sports Medicine - North Scottsdale on three different occasions: TMJ/cervical spine issues as well as two ACL reconstructions. There is no other physical therapy group that I would consider engaging if additional treatment were needed. Foothills Sports Medicine employs highly experienced Physical Therapists that are all very well acquainted with the injuries, surgeries, limitations, goals, and tolerances of each patient, which makes a HUGE difference throughout the recovery process. It's hard to put into words how thankful I am for my experience at Foothills. Not only have I come out stronger and healthier than when I went in, but I feel like they got me through one of the most physically and mentally difficult times of my life. From the front desk, to the techs (Leslie, Sam, Genna, Manny, Gentry, April, Jake, and Danny), to the Physical Therapists (Chris, Shane, and Doug), each appointment was met with encouragement, empathy, patience, and humor. The environment Foothills, North Scottsdale creates is that of a FUN community and support system. I worked with Chris Fox, DPT, a majority of the time I was a patient at Foothills. He is incredibly knowledgeable and always on the forefront of the newest techniques and studies. Chris did an excellent job of explaining my surgeries, conditions, and how each exercise attributed to my recovery. Not only did he treat the immediate issue, but he addressed other root issues (posture, flexibility, strength, repetitive motion, diet, fear, stress, and work environment) that were all reasons for my continued pain and limitations. He was always considerate of my pain level making sure I was getting through the exercises without causing greater pain or injury. He pushed me without pushing me too far; he encouraged and complimented my successes; he listened and always addressed my concerns, aches, and pains; and he treated me like he was truly invested in my recovery and rehabilitation. I cannot thank the Foothills North Scottsdale team enough for your knowledge, professionalism, and encouragement! I will be forever grateful!
