Came to oj's a few weeks ago after work; a place serving different types of bowls (acai, chia seed pudding, greek yogurt), smoothies, snacks, and coffee. I was hungry and wanted something sweet but healthy to last me until a late dinner; that's when i saw oj's in the food court.
I ordered the Classic 1.0 bowl with granola, organic honey, sliced bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. It was on top of a layer of chia seed pudding. For the size and considering its in the financial district, it was very reasonably priced (especially factoring in how filling it was too - i didn't end up finishing it).
I had some issues eating it because there was soo much honey in the bowl. It oftentimes drowned the flavour of the other fruits, even after mixing.
Also, they were setting up their tv screens and display, so the menu would come in and out, leaving me waiting to finish reading all the ingredients and different types of bowls. I would have thought that they could stop what they're doing for 2 minutes so i could finish reading and decide on my order. As well, since i was standing in front of cash without a menu to read, i asked him what are popular orders or his favourites and he didn't seem like he was too familiar with the items.
Having that said, the place itself has a very nice earthy feel to it. You can completely see through to the kitchen in the back and see them making your order with fresh ingredients. Surprisingly, I noticed the utensils in particular, while plastic, don't feel cheap and on the contrary quite nice. I like that attention to detail.
I can see this place filling up in the morning with the morning rush of people wanting a green smoothie or bowl to kick off their day.
