| - A nice homestyle cooking restaurant tucked away in a strip mall. Step in and step back to 1960's/1970's with great food and great service the way it used to be. My husband found it on Yelp, trying to find a place for prime rib. Little did he know we would find so much more. After reading about the raves of their turkey, apparently everyone else had discovered it, too, and they had run out. I got the meatloaf instead and was impressed. (And so was the prime rib hubby had been jonesing for. ) You can tell a good cook by their meatloaf. The salad bar had fresh veggies and something I hadn't seen for awhile, green olives! The bread was delicious, but I was saving room for the pie. PIES! It is not just a slice of pie, but 1/4 of the pie. Our table tried the blueberry, apple and chocolate peanut butter. I wish we had more people so I could sample more! Not only do they have good cooks at this place, but bakers, too! My sister who lives in Phoenix and had never heard or been to this place, went back two days later - and got the apple pie again. Funny, she didn't share any of her apple pie the first time, so you know this has to be probably the best apple pie she's had. Proof that you should check Yelp when visiting new cities and even where you live. You'll discover good eating, good service and a good time.
