Just wanted to give a shout out to the Busy B Bakery stand, which sells at both the summer and winter versions of this market. It was my good fortune to discover Busy B today. You can't miss pastry chef and owner Marissa Mathews, as she wears fun bee antennae to go along with her "B" theme. She had a nice table full of reasonably priced home-produced goodies, including salted caramel brownies, and a variety of individually wrapped cookies. The chocolate chip and oatmeal coconut chocolates were superior--soft, fresh, and delicious. Her business also includes special order cakes and treats, and we took her card to call upon for future special occasion needs. It seems that she can also make things to suit different diets (offering vegan options, but not sure about gluten free).
It is such a pleasure to support small businesses like these, especially when the quality of the product is so superior to the generic mass produced kind of baked goods that many grocery stores usually carry.
