| - I live very close, and could be here very day if I wanted to, but there isn't much of an appeal to be there.
It's very impressive the first few months, and then you see it for what it is. Like most of the area, before 2009 it was sparse and empty, and today, like the rest of North Phoenix, it is a manufactured social spot, a developer's pipe dream realized. There are very nice high end stores, good restaurants, but even being a Scottsdale citizen, you feel like you don't belong around the endless stream of Scottsdale's finest douchery, wanna be high rollers that crawl up from the pits of the Valley, and kids spoiled with mommy and daddy's money. Not to say that you would find these traits all over Scottsdale, but being in this area, it is especially concentrated in this mall.
Also the lack of mid-range shops, interesting hang outs makes it very dull place to be. It's more for the Housewives of Scottsdale, than for your above average American citizen. If you like chatting it up with the girls, maxing out the hubby's card, flaunting your wealth and fake personality, and Diva-ing it up, this is the place for you.
