I accidentally found this place as I was heading to the passport office. They're conveniently on the same street, but with that being said, it's a less-traveled street.
I had read the hype about Prairie Girl when it first opened, but then forgot about it. I wasn't about to line up for a freakin' cupcake, so so was kinda excited to finally check it out - with no lineups.
First impression: simple, clean. And lots of choices. The menu above the counter overwhelmed me, so I stepped back to take it all in. Tons of favors; lost of which didn't really interest me. I'll give them credit for coming up with so many (too many, IMHO) combinations of cupcake flavors.
This is when it hit me, I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to flavors. More is not better.
I couldn't even put find 6 (half doz) cupcakes I wanted to try. I had originally walked in thinking is get that many, to take home to try with my boyfriend but that flame quickly went out.
