  • Visited Magnolia for the first time to see a certain DJ with a group of friends, overall it was a terrible time, would not recommend. First, we were turned away at the door because my friend's jacket was deemed inappropriate, and the bouncer wouldn't listen to our explanation that we were going to use the free coat check. Then, we walked back to my car, and I let my friend borrow an appropriate jacket for Magnolia's arbitrary dress code. This time, the bouncer gave me a hard time for wearing "sneakers," until I explained they were real Portuguese leather designer shoes from Amsterdam. We were reluctantly let in, only to pay $20 for each guy and $10 for each girl. Within fifteen minutes of arriving, I'm outside having a smoke and I see my friend getting thrown out of Magnolia for no reason whatsoever. I immediately left to deal with the situation. Never again will I return.
