I've become a doughnut stalker. I wait for the Pandamonium Doughnut truck at the farmer's market, then linger there through several gooey, sticky, doughnutty treats. Later, I find it parked outside the Krannert Center and try to strike up a conversation with the person behind the counter.
"So, you been making doughnuts a long time?"
The reply comes swiftly: "Are you going to order?"
Sometimes I revel in the fruity doughnuts. Other days, it's a chocolate bomb of doughnutty delight. A warning to the weak: Pandamonium can overly caress their doughnuts with sugary accessories such as gummy bears and candy, and those I try to avoid. When you eat as many doughnuts as I do, stalking the truck by day and night, you've gotta draw the line somewhere.
