  • Hope Church is just another big corporate church. Their sermons are great and it will entice you to be a part of God's plan. They will try and get you to attend the new membership class. In this class they will encourage you to tide 10%. The pastorialship will even tell you God does not need your money, which is true. However, it is the church that wants your money or they would not be talking about it. The church preaches about "connection with others"; however, the church lacks the most important thing, "commitment to others". After the new members class, we signed up to get involved in the prison ministry. No one called us, so we called the church. They gave us the phone number of the couple that was in charge. We called them and they returned our call and they said they would love to have us help out. In fact we see them sitting in the back of the church every week and they always would see us. Nevertheless, the older guy & his wife never called us even after several personal contacts. When I attend the men's retreat, the pastors said they were going to start men's groups in the Fall. The pastors encouraged to us to sign up. They got up on the pulpit and "promised" that we would get a phone. I never got a phone call. Finally, I joined a men's bible study. It was great. I thought I was among friends and shared my life because I thought they were my brothers. Every week for a year, I devoted myself to attendance. Due to circumstance, I was unable to attend for several weeks. I never heard for anyone again, so I never went back. They all had my email and phone number. This church lacks commitment to their members. If you are offended my statements, let me put you to the HOPE CHALLENGE. Don't attend Hope Church for 2 months, I promise you that no one will even know that you are gone. The church is not concerned about you as a person. All they care about is that there are more people 'coming in' than 'coming out'. That is why this is such a transient church. The members will stay a couple of years, then leave. This is not a church of Hope, but a church of Broken Promises.
