| - Stopped in on a whim after a different non-chain restaurant had a wait-time that was longer than we were ready to accommodate. We were pleasantly greeted and seated immediately. Very nice. They also take reservations, which is also very nice.
We offhand mentioned we had never been in an Atrias, just making small chat, and the owner gifted us with some amazing pot roast nachos. Very nice! Very tasty!
The service was good. It was very crowded so allowances were made. Décor standard, bathrooms clean.
Menu: according to the waiter, it is mostly locally sourced and the dressings are made in-house.
The menu is your standard salad, pasta, steak, seafood combo with a locally sourced emphasis. The menu features common South Hills fare with some interesting variations, and is mostly done well.
Everyone had a great meal except for me. The restaurant is in the middle of a seasonal menu change so they had a steak/sea special. Both my husband and I ordered it. My husband's was perfect. Mine.... not so much. My steak was perfect. However, my lobster was both undercooked and possibly spoiled. I tried to pawn it off to my husband, telling him I was "full" thinking that maybe I wasn't in the mood for lobster. He spit it out. The management did do the standard deduction from my bill, but the first taste is still in my mouth.
Overall, standard South Hills pasta, meats, fishes and salads with a bit of a small touch of possible creativity - enough that we will go back for a family dinner.
