I found this place because it just happened to have the right time for the right movie I wanted to watch. I'm so glad I found it! It was like striking gold.
So, this theatre is situated on Lee Rd. Within walking distance are a few restaurants and pubs. It's all part of a "main street" set of businesses, NOT a strip mall. The theatre itself is one of those old-school types that you would find in a small town. They do have "amphitheater" type seating, in that the rows of chairs rise up towards the back, but the seats themselves don't recline (at least mine didn't). If I had anyone sitting next to me, I would have felt claustrophobic. (If the seats had reclined, I would have given this place 5 stars).
They show independent films and have Monday night deals where you can see movies for $5. There were advertisements for American Psycho on July 4th (hilarious). And on top of all this "hip" goodness, they have the cherry on top of art theaters goodness: they serve microbrews! I myself got a bottle of Magic Hat Almost Pale Ale poured into a plastic cup for $4.50. Amazing. If I remember correctly, they also had 3 different kinds of Great Lakes beer, too.
