rev:text	Reviewing New Year's Eve specifically at the VTR. Wonderful. I will call sooner next year to try to get some better seats, maybe at the bar or something, but due to my wife's unpredictable work schedule, I didn't know until less than a week prior that we'd be available NYE. Tried one new drink this time, the Negroni, and it was a perfectly balanced cocktail. Not something I'll make a regular part of my diet. Just one of those things that despite my personal opinion of it being a 7, I knew it was actually a 10. Some people prefer brunettes, and some blondes, you know? Complimentary eggnog which was my first VTR eggnog experience. Wow. So different than the stuff at the store, even the "high quality" stuff at the store. The consistency is whole milk, not paint. Paulius said there was 151 in it, but it just tasted like perfectly seasoned holiday milk. Freshly grated nutmeg in every cup. Then at midnight, complimentary bubbly for toasting and a delicious treat that was beyond compare. Cocktail weenies! My wife and I got a kick out of the fact that we were drinking $16 cocktails and eating cocktail weenies, something we normally associate with our white trash roots. But, these were two-bite all-black angus hotdogs with delicious egg buns, and they were just awesome. Despite the fact that about 1/3 of the clientele were first timers and should have been surprised about the hot dogs, everyone seemed to love them and love the idea. It was a gutsy move that went over well. Music, as always, was great. I'd like to start making this a monthly visit at least.
