I'm a pretty big fan of Atomic. The bartenders know what's up. The menu is pretty straight forward, nothing fancy. They have a good selection of craft beer on tap featuring several local brews and they mix up a decent cocktail too. The prices are reasonable, not cheap but not overly expensive either. There is no happy hour and they really don't need one to draw people in. They have a pretty good following as is, mostly locals, mostly laid-back. I've never seen it get too rowdy even when the place was packed. The patio is a nice, spacious option, especially if it's smoky inside. If you hangout long enough there will eventually be a bum or two on the sidewalk. No big deal, they just add to the charm of this place. And, yes, it is quite charming.
