I called McClintock when my upstairs unit stopped cooling. They came out on a Sunday which is much appreciated. The tech told me that the unit was 3 lbs low on freon. He filled it up and left. One week later it was empty again. Again I call McClintok back and this time I'm told the Coil is dead and must be replaced. Theres not point in putting freon in unless I replace the coil, but due to the age of the system they want me to replace all of it. That's all well and good but why charge $500 to replace the freon and not check to see what the true problem is? I wasted $531 for nothing because they didn't do a through job.
