  • I lived here from November 2006- October 2010 (or maybe it was 2011??). I moved in, sight unseen, from out of state. At first I was in a small one bedroom, downstairs. I loved it. Then I had a single mother with small children move in above me and they were so noisy (due to tile flooring). I introduced myself to them and after that anytime they were being too noisy, I'd just call the mom. After a year, I moved into an end unit townhome, just across the parking lot. I loved it. I was in a quieter section of the complex, I think, because I rarely heard excessive disruption. There was a nearby single mother with young boys and they all yelled at each other, all of the time but I learned to ignore them. There was a few residents or friends of residents that peeled out in the parking lot at 2am, on occasion. Very annoying. A police presence (ground and air) was not uncommon. But, it wasn't daily. The electricity went out with almost every rain storm. My family lived 2 miles away and never had that issue (both SRP). Throughout the complex I would see a lot of unsupervised children. Several of these kids would dart out in front of cars, which made me wonder what the heck their parents were teaching them (or not teaching them). Several speed bumps are throughout the complex but still people would speed, daily. People would park at the front gate and wait for a resident to show up to let them in. Dumpsters were often overflowing and residents wouldn't care and would just throw their garbage on the ground. This is all observation of the entire complex. Overall, my personal experience was good. I especially loved the office staff. However, I can see the quality of some residents wasn't ideal. That said, many residents did take pride in their homes and it showed. There's always good and bad when you get such a large mix of people. Many of the units are low income. That's what attracted me. Low income doesn't automatically mean "trashy." Bottom line, would I move back? Probably not. But, for someone struggling financially or just starting out, this is a good place to start. Oh, and I did have scorpions in my townhome and other miscellaneous bugs. In my one bedroom, I only saw crickets, LOTS of them, but all outside.
